Book Your Tickets

We are also delighted to open the House for guided tours (specific days only, in accordance with the house opening schedule). You must book your House Tour ticket online in advance, this also includes friends members as numbers are limited. If you have a YGHC&G card, please book as a friends member to reserve your place . Your pre booked tour time is for the house tour only, you can access the grounds, gardens, farm park and adventure play area at any point throughout the day at your leisure.


House tour tickets - Pre booking is essential

Your House tour ticket includes:

  • Guided tour - Meet at the ticket office at your pre booked time of either 10.30am or 1.30pm
  • Introductory talk in the Spearmint Room followed by tour of the house led by one of our experienced guides

Please note: We regret that access to the first floor rooms is by stairs only but a photographic information pack is available on request for visitors with limited mobility

All day access to:

  • The stunning walled garden
  • Acres of beautiful historic grounds
  • The rare breed farm park with all it’s new arrivals and familiar friendly faces
  • The historic stable block to visit the Sledmere shires
  • Our adventure play area
  • The Wagoners Special Reserve Museum


Grounds and Gardens tickets -

You may wish to book your grounds and gardens ticket in advance online as we are carefully monitoring numbers, any extra available tickets for the day can be purchased at the entrance/visitor reception. Friend members and YGHC&C card holders do not need to pre book their grounds and gardens tickets.

Your Grounds ticket gains you all day access to:

  • The stunning walled garden
  • Acres of beautiful historic grounds
  • The rare breed farm park with all it’s new arrivals and familiar friendly faces
  • The historic stable block to visit the Sledmere shires
  • Our adventure play area

These are all open Tuesday to Sunday from 10.00 am until 5.00pm ready for you to explore and enjoy.

You do NOT NEED A TICKET to pick up some essential shopping from the Farm Shop which is offering a free delivery service for local villages and The Woodyard is open for any of your gardening needs, gifts and homeware.

We encourage you to bring your own ball games, bikes etc to enjoy in the grounds, dogs are also welcome – we just ask for them to be kept on leads.

Here is some more information about booking you ticket:

  • The Farm Shop, Pantry and Woodyard are open Tuesday to Sunday (closed Mondays except bank holidays) 10am until 5.00pm.
  • The Coach House Café is open but we ask for you to pre book your table as capacity is limited.
  • The Stables takeaway is located just across the road next to the Woodyard and offers speciality coffees, homemade cakes, sandwiches, paninis and other takeaway options.
  • Tickets are non transferable so please make sure you book the correct date.

We have thought carefully about how to keep you safe and make you feel confident to come and visit us. We also have our ‘Good to Go’ industry standard certificate for cleanliness and social distancing and hope this helps to put your minds at ease that we are doing all we can to keep you safe on your visit.
