Story Craft Theatre presents three different children’s theatre shows across the Summer!

Come and join award-winning children’s theatre company, Story Craft Theatre - run by professional theatre-makers Cassie Vallance and Janet Bruce, for not one, not two but THREE interactive shows across the Summer holidays at Sledmere! These productions are packed full of fun for all the family and are guaranteed to have you laughing!

Once Upon a Fairytale - Tuesday 6th August, 10.15am, 11.30am and 1pm

Travel through a whole host of favourite fairytales and meet some familiar faces along the way including Little Red Riding Hood, The Gingerbread Man and some hungry
Bears to name a few on our quest to find the missing Goldilocks!

E-I-E-I-OH NO! - Tuesday 13th August - 10.15am, 11.30am and 1pm

It’s a very busy time of year on the Farm and we need your help. Come and join us for one udder-believable, hay-larious interactive adventure!

The Great Big Pirate Party - Tuesday 20th August - 10.15am, 11.30am and 1pm

It’s time for a party and Pirate No-beard is getting things ready for the celebrations…but there’s one problem…the pirate party prize treasure has been stolen!! Your help is need in following the treasure map, setting sail across the seven seas on search of all important X.


Adult: £5.75

Child: £6.75, including a snack*

Friends Members (Membership cards required on the day):

Sledmere Friend Adult: £5.00

Sledmere Friend Child: £6.00, including a snack*

* snack on arrival - choose from crisps, fruit or a biscuit. Dietary requirements will be catered for.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 2, who are accompanying an older sibling are free, but must get a ticket, so that we can account for numbers.

Further information:

All shows are aimed at 2-8 year olds.

Running time: 45 minutes.

Venue: Please note that the performance will take place in the Sykes Barn, which is over the road from the main site. Please arrive in plenty of time for the start of the performance. The venue is fully accessible. If you have pre-booked, you can head straight to the venue, rather than the Ticket Office on the main site.

Facilities: There will be a toilet a short walk on the same side of the road as the Sykes Barn, in the Woodyard Car Park, as well as the Toilets on the main site.

Refreshments: The Tin Roof Cafe (located next to The Woodyard Home and Garden Shop) will be open, as well as the Coach House Cafe on the main site.
