Join us for Sledmere’s 2023 Magical Santa Experience: The Great Reindeer Mystery this Christmas!
It’s a busy time of year and all hands are on deck – Santa is programming the Santa sat nav whilst putting some last minute touches to the sleigh, Holly Berry is finishing off some present wrapping and the reindeer are getting ready for the biggest night of their life! But all is not as it seems in the reindeer stables…Dancer has lost their sparkle, Blitzen their fire and Comet their speed!
Join lovable Rudolpho, the newest of Santa’s reindeer friends, in an exciting quest to solve the mystery and bring back the magic to Christmas – all in time for Christmas Day!
Take part in fun interactive activities with charming Christmas characters and enjoy spotting the clues to solve the mystery before having the chance to meet Santa himself!
Don’t forget to visit the Elf’s toyshop before hopping on a tractor and trailer ride to see Sledmere’s herd of red deer in person. With plenty of festive cheer and excitement within the Christmas Village at the Sledmere Barns too - there’s fun for all the family!
Here’s what you can enjoy on your festive day at Sledmere…
- This year’s Great Reindeer Mystery – an actor-led walk through experience with Rusticus Theatre Company – meeting several characters before meeting the big man himself in the Grotto - be sure to tell him what’s on your wish list!
- Explore the Christmas Village, meet the animals, play festive games, take part in some Christmas activities.
- Enter the Elf Toy Shop to choose your very own present with the Elves.
- Enjoy a festive tractor and trailer ride to see our beautiful herd of Red Deer and a chance to see if you can spot Rudolph while he waits for Santa with his friends.
- If you are visiting us during the daytime, for an add on of £2.00 per Adult and £1.00 per Child, you can have full access to the beautiful walled garden, grounds, Rare Breed Farm Park and adventure play area all day!
- Refreshments will be available from the Coffee Bean and Sweet Shop inside the Christmas Village.

There will be two ‘Relaxed Sessions’ on Saturday 2nd and Saturday 9th of December at 9.50am, with reduced capacity to help make the experience a little calmer for anyone
with sensory issues.
Time slots are for The Great Reindeer Mystery, which then leads on to meeting Santa. Please ensure you arrive 5 minutes before your time slot at the sign-posted entrance. The Christmas Village area can be accessed throughout the day.
***We recommend that you allow approximately 1 hour 30 minutes for the Magical Santa Experience (this includes: the walk through experience, meeting Father Christmas, the Elf Toy Shop and the Deer Ride)

Adult: £24.00
Child (1-16 years): £16.00
Child (Under 1): £8.50
Carers can book through the Ticket Office via phone or in person with proof of documentation needed on the day of the event.
*Please note that we have restructured our pricing from previous years, to fall in line with our current General Admission structure, where an Adult ticket is higher than a Child ticket, but have added in an Under 1 ticket at a discounted price - in the past all children paid full price. All children receive a toy from the Elf Toyshop as part of the experience.

There is huge range of unique gifts and homeware in The Woodyard home, gift and garden store, and the Pantry offers some fantastic festive hampers. Pick up some delicious, tasty treats for your Christmas dinner table from the Farm Shop and enjoy some homemade winter warming food from the beautiful Coach House Café!
