Christine Forsyth gains most inspiration for her photography from the smaller views of the landscape. She travels widely in Northern England and Scotland with her camera and particularly enjoys photographing wild flowers and woodland details, often using a macro lens to get close to the subject and produce something more than a simple portrait.
East Yorkshire is in the main the subject of Helga Princz’s photographs. She aims to capture what is practically on her doorstep: the gentle undulating hills and valleys; beautiful sandy beaches and coastline; landscapes that appear refreshingly unchanged but unique; away from the hustle and bustle.
Val Mager is a painter/ printmaker responding to the perceived world in ways that aspire to connect with a deeper perception. I use various printmaking techniques according to the idea being expressed, including lino, mezzotint, drypoint, etching and collagraph.
Rachel Crawford has been interested in and involved with art and textiles for many years - initially as a teacher and more recently as a practising artist. Working from her studio in Foston on the Wolds she combines stitch, fabric, paper and paint to produce a range of contemporary images.
