Julian Swift and friends
Tue 16th May to Sun 21st May
Unlike many artists, Julian Swift has never settled on one particular style of painting. He believes the world is too big a place to be represented by one style, one medium, one viewpoint. Consequently he ricochets from oil or acrylic on canvas or a combination of the two. Nothing is sacrosanct - from straw creatures living in another dimension, drawn with oil crayon on gouache to surreal natural forms in oils and figurative cubist subjects in acrylics. He has played with delicate water colours but prefers the power of a bigger canvas.
